Annie Cornet has been a full professor at HEC-ULg since 1999. She holds a doctorate in management, a master’s degree in management research (DEA), a master’s degree (licence) in sociology and a licence in social work. She teaches HRM, organizational theory, change management, social aspects of business and economics, qualitative methodology and methodology for bachelor and master theses.
She is a specialist in gender studies and diversity management issues (intercultural management, homophobia, age management, disabled people at work, etc.). She has written numerous articles, several theoretical books (gender and HRM and diversity management and HRM published by Dunod, 1998), several manuals on diversity management (1998, 2012, 2014) and a case book in 2014 published by the University of Liege.
She also wrote a book with the AFMD (French Association of Diversity Managers) on the issue of diversity management in social dialogue and the trade union agenda. She is also specialized in female entrepreneurship (Diane project), gender mainstreaming and gender budgeting. She is a member of the Council for Equality of Women and Men within the Walloon regional government, of which she was president for 4 years. She also teaches in some business schools in France, Switzerland and Africa (DR Congo and Cotonou-Benin).
She also conducted research in 2014 on the place of women in scientific and academic positions at the University of Liège and has been the Dean’s advisor on gender and diversity since September 2014.
